Founded in 2016, BaseBit is a fast-growing high-tech company focused on data and artificial intelligence. We aspire to be the operator and enabler of 'The Internet of Data and Computings' by building a dynamic ecosystem of secured data and applications; data owners, data users, and service providers.
With privacy computing as the core, the company has built an open data ecosystem and data sharing collaborative environment based on data security and personal privacy protection for healthcare, finance, government and other industries.     Eric Chen

    Founder, Executive Chairman

    Dr. Eric Chen co-founded the Silicon Valley based Brion Technologies which was later successfully acquired by ASML. He then served as the Managing Director of Silver Lake Partners and co-founded the company's Asia offices as well as investing in Alibaba Group. He currently serves as an independent member on the board of directors of Qihoo 360 and Applied Materials (a Fortune 500 company). He is also the co-founder of Future Forum. Dr. Chen is a Managing Partner at Softbank' s Vision Fund and is responsible for all China-related investments. He holds a PhD degree from Stanford University.

    Dr. Zhen Luo was previously the General Manager of Shanghai R&D center at Allyes Group, a leading digital advertisement company in China. Dr. Luo has over 15 years of deep expertise in developing large scale web applications and their backend data platforms. Dr. Luo received his BS degree from Peking University and a PhD in Electrial Engineering from Princeton University.

    Dr. Hua Cao was previously the site manager of Alibaba' s iDST (institute of Data Science and Technologies) Data Alibaba Group, Silicon Valley office. Dr. Cao has over 10 years of experience of product management in high tech industries, leading multi-national project teams in the US, Europe, and Asia. Dr. Cao graduated from Princeton with a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, and was a tenure-track professor at the University of South Florida.

    Mr. Percy Zhao was the Engineering Lead at Alibaba' s iDST (Institute of Data Science and Technologies). He was also the co-founder of Adsvana, an online advertising technology startup, which was successfully acquired in 2013. Mr. Zhao has over 20 years of experience in the software industry, having served multiple lead architect roles for various companies and industries, including Microsoft, Levis and Toyota. Mr. Zhao earned his BS degree from the University of Science and Technology of China.
